Nargis Bakes Story
A Humble Beginning
In 2018, while on maternity leave, I baked my first ever cake after being inspired by The Great British Bake Off. To my surprise, it was a hit and I’ve been baking ever since!
What started as a hobby has now grown into a full-time business, with cakes, brownies and my famous NYC cookies enjoyed across the UK. In 2023, I took my pink dessert stand on the road, visiting Food & Drink festivals, Melas, carnivals and agricultural shows nationwide.
Along the way, I’ve had the honour of being featured in several newspaper articles and meeting celebrity bakers such as the legendary Mary Berry and The Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain who even got to try my cookies!
In August 2024, a dream became reality when I proudly opened my very own bakery in my hometown of Bradford. The love and support from my local community, customers and followers has been truly overwhelming and means more to me than words can say.
I’ve also built a growing audience on TikTok, where I go live from my bakery kitchen to share behind-the-scenes bakes and connect with my amazing community.
Looking ahead, my goal is to grow Nargis Bakes even further by working towards making my bakes and dessert treats available by post in the near future, so that everyone can enjoy a little taste of my bakery, no matter where they are in the UK.

From Passion to Profession
Born out of countless hours experimenting with flavours, baking late into the night, and receiving heartfelt feedback from loved ones, Nargis Bakes slowly evolved from a home hobby into a full-fledged bakery specialising in indulgent baked desserts and treats. Every brownie, cookie and dessert is handmade with care, inspired by the belief that everyone deserves something truly special to enjoy and share.

A Sweet Journey Ahead
Nargis Bakes has already outgrown its bakery kitchen a proud milestone in our journey. Our focus now is on securing a larger, fit-for-purpose commercial kitchen, enabling us to meet growing demand and work towards offering nationwide postal delivery of our baked treats and desserts.
